Individual Counseling
Individual sessions are the container for the therapeutic relationship. Typically a session is 45-55 minutes. We co-create this experience as a team to ensure we’re focusing our attention to the personal goals you determine.
Individual therapy allows exploration of your struggles in a non judgmental space-a place where you can experiment with new ways of being in the world and to understand how you make meaning of your own experience. It is also where we plan and develop skills to address problems impacting your day to day life. You can expect to experience a combination of evidence-based modalities of treatment, tailored to you and your unique circumstance.
I have training and expertise, but I will never be an expert on you. I will reflect to you what I am hearing and assist in exploring coping strategies to manage the more painful parts of your journey as well as provide psychoeducation to help you understand the role neurobiology plays in your mental health. You will be invited to connect your mind to your body, grounding you in the present.
